In the short term, people are already transitioning to hybrids.
Next step will be the mass adoption of EREV in the medium term and onwards, skipping pure EVs altogether.
It will be no surprise if the limited practicality of a pure EVs makes them a novelty item for those who have more money than sense, or perhaps are retired in the tropics and only travels 4-7km per day running around doing the shopping etc.
EVs make little sense at the moment, especially in high density areas with no/limited off street parking.
And we are seeing exactly this, with auto makers responding to market demands.
Anyone who thought the lithium hype bubble was never going to burst is a fool.
