this is the difference between the right and left. the right want to do things, these days, not like it was under Howard, that are in breach of laws and common decency and sense. like the Abbott/Hokey and Morrison/Frydenberg which both did unconscionable and illegal acts, they want free rein to abandon precedents of attempting sound economic and fiscal management. they want to trash community cohesion and divide the community on politics alone.

I recall the standard incompetence of the Fraser Govt with Howard as treasurer. how they tried and failed. now we have too many extremists and idiot leading the Libs. they've lost the plot entirely, both here and the US. just like the Brits.

from this it seems limited to the anglosphere nations. but even in France the far right are gaining ground.

imo its truly an artefact and will eventually slide back to genuine Liberal democracy values. but only with independent MPs will this really be achieved.

the right have left the left of politics a wide range to follow. the Labs should really stick with the workers as in the Menzies era. and the Libs return to Menzies values. then we could get a bit more balance and social recognition.
