rest in peace why is this catch phrase so prevalent? why is it assumed that someone that died will rest in peace? simply because it sounds nice, the alternatives pose uncertainty, and we have adopted the habit of believing, and not questioning, lies. a belief in such a thing, even notionally, is akin to a belief in some all-powerful bearded god in a box. holding on to such assumptions leads to a proportional degree of ignorance. stupidity does not arise by itself. stupidity is related to stupor, a state of incapacitaion
