well, there's a lot of outcry about what Israel is doing - including the finding that their occupation is illegal, only days back.

that said, it hasn't stopped America supporting Israel.

As to is it justified or preferred ----- from the Israeli POV - ?? I would think that they probably felt 'justified' to grasp for what they thought would be security, future etc etc post WW2.

Now, after years of them basically stealing land and committing atrocity after atrocity and then Hamas resisting by rockets over years - they probably now feel that their persistence is justified and is now by the group making the decisions and their supporters also 'preferred' - because, they have not only come this far, there's no turning back and also now - what choice do they have, because for the leadership there is now arrest warrants out on them, so if they go out of Israel, they are going to be arrested and the UN court has now found the whole show to be illegal
