Worthless struck by their own swords, if companies like PLS ,SQM etc stopped ramping up production and jammed the supply lines lithium prices would rebound, not sure if they are totally bound by contracts but if they are well then stupid them. Pausing production would hurt staffing but not as much as massive EV factories that wouldn’t be able to produce their numbers and bring the transition to a halt effectively costing the likes of the worlds battery and car manufacturers to their knees begging for lithium. Now would be the time to do it as well before any other options arise and miners could demand better prices imo.
