It started when I couldn't get my token to go in the Aldi trolley and then I couldn't get it to come out either.
That's when this nice lady stepped up and offered her help. She had long fingernails, beautifully manicured and painted. I said no, don't do that you'll break your lovely fingernail, but by that time it had already flipped out and flew down among the trolleys somewhere.
She retrieved it for me.
Next up we passed each other in Woolies and nodded.
Then we by chance, what are the odds, met up at the cashier in the pharmacy and I said "You're the lady who helped me with the trolley " "yes she said and I saw you in Woolworths too"
She had a bottle of Evening Primrose Oil in her trolley and, having been a user myself at one time, I said "what do you take that for?"
She said, " to keep myself looking young" and then after a moment she said "How old do you think I am?,"
Bam! I had to stop & think seriously. I said "I don't want to say the wrong thing"
"No" she said " tell.me honestly".
So I thought very very carefully for a few seconds and then said ,"maybe 42ish"
She laughed and said, "I'm 62"
After a minute I said "well how old do you think I am?"
She gave me a long study and said "Maybe 62"
My turn to laugh. "I'm 82"
The end.
