''you might address the issue that the government's
plans are for individually owned batteries including those in EVs to be used to balance the grid. This is well publicised as part of achieving the ''

why on earth would you even think that 'governments might have a plan'

    at all??

if there is one thing that governments are absolutely expert at, it is a lack of vision ------------ which almost always means - no plan at all

in fact, they have never even thought about things

so so so so so so so often ------- governments 'react' to things - like --

pooof - out of thin air - something has happened -

now, the 'something' that has happened - was noted by millions of people for years ----------- but, not most people and not governments - they are often, the last mob to wake up to things

    do you need an example?????

    AI

AI has been flying under government radar mostly for years ---- years and years, underneath there's been research going on, there's been companies like NVidia working feverishly and solidly predicting their huge gain in computing power by 2025 - the predicted this years back (I posted on it years back - here on hc) which was a necessary ingredient in making AI fly

but - LOOK what happened when ChatGPT - came out with it's first hobbling version of LLM AI -

for governments and many organisation - it was as if JC had appeared in the clouds pooooof - and said 'I'm here, things are gonna change now'

doh! woe! omg! - there were kneejerk reactions everywhere - governments, computer companies, god knows what - all in a panic like Tassie turbo chooks

you 'think' that government would have had a 'plan' ---------- I'll give you a tip

    governments had nfi

and they still have nfi how to handle it

you speak of gov plans for batteries and EV batteries in the power system -

I'll bet London to a ton of horse crap - that most people in government would say 'what's that?'
