Bond holders can go bust, America cannot, they lend and spend in $US, they can print as many of those they need, the US cannot go bust.

The worst thing that can happen is the value of their dollar falls quicker than 2% per year, going bankrupt is impossible.

This is not the same for other countries as they borrow $US and have to earn them to pay them back.

Just them raisng the debt ceiling 74 times shows they can't go bust!

The likes of Yellen want debt ceiling's abolished!
