DC mentioned this at the AGM .. some of the farmers believe part of the route over a floodplain is unstable and or they just don't want the pipeline. He said there are alternative routes but they entail a greater impact on fauna and flora (i.e. require clearing along a stock route or similar whereas farmland is already cleared). Unlikely to be more cost involved unless of course the framers are just holding out for more.
