It was a few years ago but I heard a Lung specialist say on the ABC radio that the rates of lung cancer haven’t dropped significantly since smoking has been demonised and taxing of the product has significantly increased.
I would have thought that since the numbers of smokers have dropped significantly, shouldn’t the number of lung cancer deaths have decreased?
I agree as a smoker, it isn’t a good habit to have but I would have thought we would have seen a decrease.
