Director selling is not that common. It's not well regarded in company circles for Directors to sell their shares.

Here is a list of the 200 most recent transactions - only a few of them are sells and I am unfamiliar with the company names.

Here is the first example that comes to mind as I saw it recently.

Often you see it is for personal reasons (which does not provide much information but is generally accepted as required to resolve cash flow issues) or for tax purposes (again, cashflow). As with the above example, it is also argued to add to the free float in tightly held stocks.

Regardless of your bias, it is not hard to get the impression that a sale at the transaction price is considered fair (or higher) value by the Director selling, if you do not know his reason for selling. Director selling usually happens at the top, and perhaps some might argue, before bad news is delivered.

Presumably, John was not in possession of any material results from Storm this year that have not been disclosed to the market - not because we have been told that is the case as no information has been provided - but only because we hope the company abides by the law/rules.
