That's a tricky pickle that I've been pondering. If you were to guarantee the battery to be above 80% health for the lifetime of the car would that go some way of ensuring good resale value? I'm not sure if it will. It's just the new EVs are coming in at a lower and lower price point. Tesla need to forget trying to win the race to the bottom and look to preserve brand value by the value they provide. Much like Apple. I suppose their next step into robotaxis if a reflection of this. This should hopefully arrest at least Teslas resale value although other OEMs need to find what else they can provide the customer other than just price.
