There is always potential for a slight retrace early on news. "buy on rumour".
However the trend has switched. Large volume on stocks only occur when there is news. So the quarterly would only add further volume potential to improve the price further.
I'm curious what volume you want to see to justify a 12% gain in price as substantial?
