Interesting bit of shorting.
The March stuff was likely driven by the Underwriter of the $10m CR as a means of limiting his exposure to borrowing to fund the shortfall shares.
The rise from zero on the 7/06 to 1.7m on the 13/6 following the announcement of a new MD on the 6/06 is understandable from a shorter's "possible bad news" perspective.
The "17% increase in production" announcement on the 11/06 turned that into a bad call and sent the shorts back to zero on 17/06.
The rise to 3.4m on the 24/06 leads me to believe the shorter has had his brains bashed out. The "22% increase in production" announcement on the 3/07 was a reality check and the shorts dropped back to 1.7m.
The rise over the last two weeks to 5.8m makes as much sense as the previous attempts to add to the sell side and drive the price down
I note with interest that the shorter is still trying with 257k shorted yesterday.
