Curious to know what are the thoughts of holders are regarding the safety (and copy-ability) of the IP?

Alternatively is the IP they have actually quite impenetrable if a good lawyer designs the IP protection, and NTI/Dolce have first mover advantage?

I'm thinking that I will only know the IP is secure and able to be protected when we get a big partner, as it is a bit of a blind spot for me.

There are quite a few angles, with the plant patent allowed in the US for cultivated varieties.

Also I imagine there is difficulty in (as a would be competitor) getting your hands on the NTI164 product ATM to characterise it, but it will probably be handed over or intercepted via a patient at some stage. Hopefully late enough for it not to be somehow mirrored through blending CBD oil from various cultivars.

There is also the concern that a competitor could gain similar results with a cannabis variety (or five) they have bred up themselves if this is successful in further clinical trials.

There also seems to be a lot of angles to patent bits and pieces, have the plant cultivar protected, to patent constituents in a CBD oil (maybe drip feeding these patents out).
