I'll add to my last ------- my memory corrected itself with the son speaking of his mum - he said that the week before she didn't look like she looked now - she didn't look like a frail old lady, she looked like a capable old lady (something like that)

I do recall some of the nurses saying to me that sometimes it just happens that way - that all of a sudden, some people just seem to give in and there it is - they become unable to cope - almost in an instant.

Now for Joe Biden - we shouldn't underestimate what has just happened - he's more than likely had a tremendous shock - being told and making the decision to give up ---------- that's it - end of story kind of thing --------- 50 or something years - the book is closing
