I see the recent weakness in commodities as a concerted effort by hedgefunds and big players to shake the tree BIG time.

They have been working on this for a few days now slowly spreading info that copper would be weaker this month due to profit taking by institutions and the like.

Then yesterday they put every bit of negative news out in the open first working on Ireland and then adding Portugal Greece , Spain and even Italy in the mix.

Well let me tell you the Economy of Ireland is not even worth mentioning in the scope of things and even if you add Portugal and Greece with it.

Powerhouse Germany will still keep working overtime to get their exports out of the country and China will keep importing raw materials for building their economy.

But hey if you want to shake the tree you have to do it in packs like wolves and the BIG boys know how to spread fear, and who to work together.

So imho we will get the first reports out in a few days that all is well again and we should not have worried.

In the meantime the big boys got their sales done before spreading the bad news and now have been buying heavily those much cheaper shares back , just for the next leg up.
