I "care" about the United States, but I don't "care" about the Democrats or the Republicans.
I don't always "support" the United States, but I definitely don't "support" their political system.

However, it's not my country; so however they decide who runs the joint is their business, not mine.

The US elections have always seemed somewhat farcical to me, but I never worried about them, because I don't live there and they seemed harmless enough.
