If anyone bought on the strength of the Chinese coming then they would actually be in the money. From memory the sp was 1.7c at the time of the announcement.

Maybe the company should have updated shareholders in this matter, in fact the last mention of it was a hold up with visas I think. So whilst I agree with your sentiment, I find it a bit disingenuous of you to wait until selling out before wanting to make an issue of it.
