Bet you a schooner Simon pockets his $1 mill and is gone very soon after. Doesn't make him a bad guy, he's a very good manager too. But I still don't see the need to give him a million bucks of our money when we lost 50% of our shareholding value almost overnight and are getting even less than that.
This ann enough to make me revise my vote on remuneration to a yes, but not on 4 or 5.
Regarding 5 - I'm quite certain all those personnel will be long gone by tranche 2 (nor would we want them on our books that long) so they're not going to delay that, though I agree it should be pulled.
It won't be. Simon will want to go into bat for the people he recruited for this project. Someone tell him WE should be his first priority. They got paid very good money for the job they did. Unfortunately the company didn't benefit from the work, shareholders didn't benefit, so bonuses need to be pulled. That's life in any just situation. We were all happy to share with employees the fruits of success. We didn't succeed. Simple.
Both 4 and 5 ought to be withdrawn prior to the meeting.
