Science is just a process it is mute it makes no progress it does not understand what is true or false it does not speak it does not progress nor regress.
We have progressed in our knowledge such as our understanding of languages one being mathematics many of these concepts such as numbers are immaterial yet we continue to apply immaterial concepts in our material world.
You can be accurate with science or you can be loose with it giving it attributes that just do not exist.
