The API allows people to host their digital human on their own website, essentially it lets you paste the Unith DH window into your website where it can be hosted by you, or in this case, by your domain owner, so AWS, wordpress etc. It doesn't automatically give you a digital human. This was an intentional move by Unith so that we do not need to host every user thereby decreasing our need for data centre investment.
You still need to create your own digital human utilising our platform, which is still in Beta, therefore apart from the few shareholders like myself plus any new interested parties who have contacted Unith for access, the product is not live and has only been getting used by people who get/got an access code directly from Unith, in this case Boris Salapa is the guy handing out access on a case by case basis.
So back to the downloads of the wordpress API, this would only be people who have already had access to the platform and now want to embed their digital human within their website, but obviously the download figures only represent people who have had early access and have a wordpress hosted domain. There have been in excess of 200 downloads in 6 weeks through Wordpress.
That IMO is actually a massive amount of current users who have been given access to our Beta and who have gone on to embed their digital human into their wordpress domain. This doesn't take into account all the other hosted domain users. How many users have been playing in Beta if 200 of them moved onto self hosting?
There has still been absolutely no direct marketing for the platform as far as i can see, so 200 plus Beta users, all who have been recruited organically through the roadshow attendances and through satisfied customer's word of mouth. Not a bad effort at all!!!
Unith have taken a very disciplined path to launch, one that I'm told is necessary to avoid launch failure, be it due to tech issues or ethical issues.
Looking at APH's new platform https://twiin.aph.org.ua/ you can see how far the quality of our digital humans have come in 6 months.
Now that our biggest corporate deal (so far announced), is live in Ukraine, and being shouted across the internet as successful, the story being shared organically, we should expect to see significant movement in the understanding of our product which will eventually lead to further investment and the long awaited re-rate.
Our Self Service Platform is an amazing product, I really look forward to everyone being able to use it and generate their own heads, especially when they finish bolting on all the additional features.
