News: UPDATE 1-One train shut at Inpex-operated Ichthys LNG in Australia, sources say

    SINGAPORE, July 26 (Reuters) - One of the two processing trains at Australia's Ichthys liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Darwin, Australia is currently experiencing an outage, according to two sources with knowledge of the matter.

    One of the sources said the train had been shut since last week.

    Operator Inpex Corp 1605.T , Japan's biggest oil and gas explorer, said it does not disclose specifics of operational and commercial matters related to Ichthys LNG.

    The LNG processing trains at Ichthys LNG can produce 8.9 million metric tons of the super-chilled fuel per year at peak production.

    Ichthys LNG is a joint venture between Inpex, TotalEnergies TTEF.PA , and the Australian subsidiaries of CPC Corporation Taiwan, Osaka Gas 9532.T , Kansai Electric Power 9503.T , JERA and Toho Gas 9533.T .
