Sorry Bunter, but I think you may have missed the point here. I'm not suggesting for a minute that the Govt fund Lindian in Malawi as clearly they wouldn't.
However, we desperately need some exposure as particularly considering the size and significance of our resource, we are so far under the radar that we're invisible.
Given that it's not easy to get publicity, the best (cheapest) way to do this is to use tactical opportunities (a bit like counter punching) where you use someone else's efforts to create the initial interest and then take advantage of that to tell your story.
In this case, if we were smart enough to compare our RE metrics with those of the companies supported by the Govt, it is likely to be picked up by various sections the media who love to do stories pointing out potential errors of judgement etc.
This would give us some vital oxygen and exposure. It would also position us as the best RE resource in Australia.
This is just one of many examples of why we need some experienced marketing to act as a catalyst.
Increased exposure will also make it easier to get funding etc.
