As GCar always says, you can't just rely on the announcements mate. It pays to remember that up until quite recently, several people here still thought there was a relationship with Mitsubishi based on the HOA executed with them 5 years ago. You need to use your noggin and read between the lines.
There's some straightforward inferences that can be drawn from the ATL announcement. The most important was that they were negotiationing an offtake from the 2 ktpa plant, then the next thing we know, the plant shuts down because it can't be operated economically. That clearly tells me that ATL weren't willing to offer a rate that would be economical for AGY to continue operating the plant. If they were willing to offer a decent price, there wouldn't have been a need to shut down the plant, would there?
