Don't be too hard on yourself, ...remember, approval has been given, and we are simply awaiting the final stage of an appeal.
In my eyes, (for what it's worth) I believe that the "unknowns" are very limited at this point and all the ducks are aligning very well for TLG.
Timing is and always will be an issue regarding CR, but nobody could foresee the SC taking so long to come to a decision, we can all look back in hindsight and see where we could have altered our investment plan, but I would certainly not put you in the "stupid" category, just like most of us here, hoping for a positive outcome soon.
