HOW I SEE IT:

There is room for both DRO and Laser systems.

DRO tech is indispensable in places where you want to avoid dropping objects out of the sky and hitting people and buildings on the ground. Think of City centres, Stadiums, Airports, Schools, etc.

Also, DRO tech is suitable againt swarms of drones, and will reach drones when still out of sight or behind buildings.

Laser wins on power, but it targets one at a time, and needs a line of sight.

Both systems can be complementary: Eg, DRO tech might neutralised100s of small drones and clear the skies while laser waits to target the big ones.
