Spartan has a market cap today of $1.411 billion.
Ramelius market cap meanwhile is at $2.163 billion.
MZ says Spartan has quite a way to go yet and is in the early stages of development, and that he is happy with the investment. He's playing a dead hand to everyone.
The time is running out for RMS to make a takeover and Simon has the box position to drive the purchase price upwards if indeed that is the end game.
More than likely though it may be a merger. How that plays out we are yet to see but you would have to think that the board will be looking to value Spartan at circa $1.50. How could it be any less than that.
