I tend to agree with that broad assessment with all analysts reports that I see BUT what the retail investor doesnt understand when making this throwaway line is that they should not be seeing most if not all of these. They are for the benefit of wholesale/insto clients only

They are usually leaked online to HC and other forums to be picked apart . When I get these reports , and if I have an interest , I can call my broker and get more background feel or ask for more information .

Those on HC fail to appreciate that the analyst report isnt necessarily the limit of what a wholesale/insto can get if they are prepared to ask more questions. A good example of this is the sell side calls that retail dont hear/know about that assist the analyst in preparing a report.
