As far as I can see the downward push in trading seems to be largely driven by Chi-X now CBOE. From memory it was set up by Chinese interests. Could still be the case - but taken over by Chicago Board of Exchange, but who owns them? A platform predominately used by institutional and dark traders I think. They seem to come on at 10:00 and disappear at 4:00pm.
