If it makes you sleep better at night.

I sleep well at night regardless. Fortunately for me I don't have to rely on governments to be self-sufficient.

Julia only needs a few months to reinvigorate her govt in 2013 to win the next election.

Only if she can walk with knives poking out of her back. Good luck anyway.

Its like what uni students do... party for 99% of the Semester and cram study in the last 1% of the Semester for the exam & pass.

Quite conforting to know that's Labor's tactic. Go Labor.

3 years is a very long time. I am using ballpark figures here but our resident grumpy seniors on this forum will post approximately 9,000 (based on 10 post limit/day) whinging & whining posts by the time the next election comes round.

Do you have an age list?

Lets not even think what will happen if god forbid Julia wins again in 2013. Imagine the uproar lol.

Absolutely zero chance of this happening. Firstly, people will often give a second chance to a party, afterall 3 years isn't enough time most will say, but after 6 years of blunders and waste and incompetent management (let's not forget we have a PM with no foreign negotiation skill and 2 ministers looking after our finances with no finance skill) people will not give them another chance. People are fogiving but they're not stupid. Secondly Gillard won't be leading Labor to the next poll, the silent powerbrokers who control the puppeteering will ensure that.

So no fear there wil be no uproar, the feel good first Australian prime minister policy that contributed to her default position as prime minster won't be a factor next time.
