I don't know if APA are on their own here. Certainly CBA would have been a better hold for capital growth, but every stock has its cycles. We've seen Vanguard topping up, and it wouldn't surprise me to see a few others taking a position at these levels.
IMHO, in this type of market, you are far better off holding unloved stocks with a good yeild, defensive nature, and guaranteed income, than any other.
If we see a few positive developments over the next 12 months, I suspect it will be trading back in the $9's which is not a bad result when you consider the yeild you'll be collecting over that period.
