My belief in God as the author of Creation is both from science and the scriptures of Krishna, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, Baha'u'llah and several indigenous beliefs.
I do not reject Bible events as you call them. I know they can not be literal because they contradict reality, but when understood as symbolic events they become even more profound and meaningful.
