We have updated our assumptions for the now much bigger Vista coal project (formerly Hinton East and West) which includes the Z Block and McLeod River tenements. We are aware that the company is due to complete its pre-feasibility study before the end of the year, which will consolidate the bigger mine into its existing ScopingStudy, but feel an update is necessary now to understand what should be attributed into the share price from the likely shape of the new mine.

We have assumed that that Vista will ultimately become a 7.8Mtpa mine producing thermal coal of which about 1Mtpa is domestic and the remainder for export into the pacific market. We have correspondingly increased ourcapex assumption from $420m at full 4Mtpa capacity to $720m at full 7.8Mtpa capacity by 2018.
