morning Just Bob, when do you sell CBA?? I look at Cba/NAB shares like houses!. How many have you bought and then sold( for a tidy profit)at the TOP of the market. Thinking how smart am I , only to look back and say to yourself I can’t believe the thing is now $300,000 +more.Yes you are doing the REASONABLE thing. But for some of us that hold all of our bank shares outside super we must choose to pay the capital gains or just keep reinvesting the dividend and let compounding work? Just quietly it works a treat! My personal story is when both the GFC and Covid hit we borrowed heavily and bought a shittonne of both cba and nab shares and have just let the DRP work its MAGIC. It’s not rocket science. And now even if it drops 20% you actually end up with MORE shares in the DRP. I would also probably sell some of by bank shares right now if there were no cost associated.
