well, mate it was about time for them to do what is right. they need to be proactive. they see large short seller, they should act. they don't need to try to counter his shorts with massive buys but show some confidence (make small buys as they just did) and release a market update that all is BAU. make it bit harder for the short seller to win instead of helping the cnt make arbitrage trade.

when the company does not pay divis and relies on exploration success to reward its holders then it is only the SP they need to defend and worry about. and they were very cavalier towards ALK's SP in the last 24 months.

anyway - good stuff from the board so credit where credit is due.
