What you see through a telescope or microscope is not a belief. The minerals or fossils you dig up are not beliefs. They are the facts of the world.
A theory as a narrative that ties the facts of the world together is not a belief.
A narrative is something that may be modified as new facts are uncovered.
That is the very opposite of faith, where you form a conviction/ belief in what was written in old scrolls by ancient people, where there are no facts of the world in terms of the supernatural claims and your belief is not based on the facts of the world, but faith, a belief held without the support of evidence and taught as if it was factual.
