Remember the African Energy Summit Presentation that Scott did earlier in the year? One of the slides there told us about two of Sasol's current businesses. The petrochemical business and industrial business in South Africa.
The Sasol's petrochemical business (Secundafacility) was noted to be currently 'supplied from declining onshore Mozambique Pande-Temanefields and coal to liquid feedstock'.
On the same slide it noted 'Industrial demand in South Africa serviced from onshore Mozambique via 600 mmscf/d ROMPCO pipeline. Sasol will cease supplying gas from 2026 onwards to industrial customers due to shortfall. Estimated 1 bcf/d gas supply shortfall by 20230'

Sasol has the established businesses literally with the clock running down on their primary source of energy. It would be in their interest to get enrgy from close to home, and it would be in Invictus's best interest because Sasol need this stuff in a hurry (as early as 2026). Invictus want the field to produce ASAP and Sasol need it in a similar time frame. In addition, Sasol are cashed up.

JV into the SG 4571 lease (location of Mukuyu) for a 20% share of the lease would be magic for both companies.
