Bought my son a house in Southport this time last year, paid 485K similar houses in the same Street now 405 to 410K he loves the area and plans to stay long term so 10 years down the track the price will come back. Gold Coast over the years has always had big swings. Would be a bit of a worry if you had a large debt on your property as you would have no equity.
