1. The funds you mentioned. 2. This is big short seller who is borrowing from whoever is willing to lend. 3. Combination of both - probably the most likely scenario as shorts are still going up. Short data from 29th shows shorts now at 1.79%.
Will be interesting to see if the shorts start to drop from Monday when the data will come out for 30th July when we had 8.4m volume.
and the shear volumes eliminated anyone else outside IG and these two funds.
