As per my previous posts about the Chinese building battery storage (above), I think the missing part of the total transfer of fossil fuel energies to a complete renewable transition is battery storage for households. This is potentially on a scale as big or bigger than the uptake of electric vehicles and adds a whole new dimension for the increase of critical minerals usage needed to support such a transition.
Find below an article from the ABC regarding home battery storage.
As it suggests the solar panel uptake in Australia is going gangbusters and in fact creates and over supply of power in WA. The fix for this oversupply is for home owners to incorporate a battery storage system. Whilst quite expensive at this stage I believe governments both state and federal would possibly be looking at some sort of rebate for the installation of such storage. Imagine the energy security and savings created if everyone had their own capability to not only use a renewable energy but actually be able to store it as well.
I think that this will take off should the pricing of storage become more affordable due to scale and rebates in the future.
This will be quantum leap in the use of renewables and can only bode well for companies like RNU.
Once again be patient , this energy transfer is not ever going to go any where but up.
