    It won't be the Russian air force they have to contend with it will be the SAM systems. Russia/Soviet union has always known it was inferior in the air so went down the defensive option by building a massive system of SAM's and related weaponry.

    One of the reasons the USA air force is so effective is the use of the AWAC's, not sure whether they will be in play but assume they will, sitting over the black sea or some other 'neutral' zone. F16's are old tech so will be interesting.
