China systematically lies and refuses to acknowledge overcapacity, or the role subsidies play in keeping loss making outfits from EV makers to lepidolite miners in business at the expense of Western manufacturers or miners. Hence divergent supply chains are inevitable, and the West will be obliged to similarly subsidise them to compete with China's CCP sponsored comparative advantage.
