An article on Reuters I saw months ago said hedge funds were leveraged 300 to 500% mostly via yen carry trade funding. sadly, the same article said the same hedgies had mostly closed out short positions and were net long - at ATH's. These funds are destroying wealth due to their unsupervised, out of control, irrationally exuberant positions, which a lot will be forced to close out and are. Just great.
