You obviously need help, you should seek advice or invest in the safe havens of food and booze. But invest in something or inflation will destroy you.

You will wake up one morning when the market rebounds, it always does because there is too much at stake if it doesn't, and say why didn't I try to learn rather than assume I had the answers.

FYI: Banks are backed by the Government only if you have turned your fortune into a small deposit.

In plain English, Lease hold tenure has been around for centuries. At the end of the lease the Government will bring on an "off with their heads" revolution if they don't extend the lease. It's not necessarily a guaranteed right but is as good as guaranteed in a practical sense. There is heaps of informed discussion about why for political and economic reasons offering a first right of refusal for a new lease to the person who owns the improvements is the only way forward for a government unless they want to resume the land and then for those same reasons they compensate the owner of the improvements.
