Once again I find myself having to give a round of applause to NSW Labor Premier Chris Minns.
He might not have the charisma of Bob Hawke but he's certainly got the judgement (so far). He just goes about his job quietly, making good decisions like this one, which will no doubt have thousands cursing and shrieking.

"The New South Wales government has ordered all public sector workers to return to the office. The move comes after concerns were raised that a lack of office workers, particularly in Sydney's CBD, was having a detrimental effect on the wider economy. As a result, Premier Chris Minns wants to see the more than 400,000 workers in the public sector system being "physically present" at their jobs. But Public Service Association general secretary Stewart Little is worried the move could create some serious "issues".

The Premier also said a.couple of days ago there are great advantages being.missed by people not being together in the workforce such as the learning experiences that come from working in a team.
As a public health measure WFH had advantages, but now that is not necessary normal practice needs to be resumed.
