It's just the usual rhetoric from African leaders. Having lived in east and south Africa, this sort of statement from leaders is common. WAF has contributed USD$325 million to the Burkina Faso government since Sanbrado began operating. Would a leader risk that gravy train by stopping or taking over the mine and kicking key personnel out of the country? Of course anything is possible in Africa, but it is unlikely. The incentive for the government is to keep the money flowing regularly - some or much of it being skimmed off the top of course.
