Consideration of the background and circumstances of individual examples is vitally important but I understand why you don't want to address them in this case. As example you're effectively saying that if a Despot somewhere is committing genocide the concept of "sovereignty" is sacrosanct and no humanitarian intervention by outside parties can be justified or occur and the Despot can continue on his merry way unhindered. I disagree and I'm sure many others do too. For someone who so often finishes his posts with "Peace", advocating the "Law of the Jungle" is not a path to Peace in my opinion.
