The PLS game plan has always been to accumulate assets in a good jurisdiction, to develop those assets on a shoestring budget, to bring down the cost of production as much as they could and once all that was done, cautiously move into downstream processing.
The PLS strategy could not have succeeded without that foundation.
Had they concurrently tried to develop downstream processing with spodumene processing, they would likely be in the same position as Albemarle is now.
