social outcomes are the consequence of economics. economic outcomes are conditional on social benefits or otherwise.
the two are inextricably interconnected. mutually dependent.
look at the appalling social conditions where more pure economics prevails over social values, eg US/UK. then contrast with countries where social values prevail over economic outcomes, eg China, Russia etc. both fail miserably.
then look for countries where the balance is aimed at and see if those countries are better off, eg Sweden.
much of the problems have come from immigration. what causes people to leave their homes and travel in desperate ned to find a safe place for their families to grow? so what is the best way to deal with migration? fix the problems in hungry and wrartorn countries and we'll all have less people trying too enter other countries illegally.
its no a matter of being socialist or capitalist. neither side can function for prosperity without ensuring the other side are adequately managed as well.
